Cristian BĂDESCU

Teaching Assistant

Hello. This is my story.

Cristian Bădescu is a Bucharest based architect. Since 2020 he is a PhD student and teaching assistant at the UAUIM Architecture School in Bucharest. His interests are focused around the Romanian industrial socialist modernist heritage and its current condition. This is manifested both trough academic research and practical initiatives in his hometown of Braila.

As a practicing architect he is part of the POSTER office team. They have represented Romania at Venice Architecture Biennale in 2021 as curators of the Romanian Pavillion with the project Fading Borders, an exhibition which raised the issue of the Romanian diaspora by bringing together two distinct projects – Shrinking Cities in Romania by IDEILAGRAM and Away by Teleleu.
