The department is the only institution on the east side of the Danube where architecture is taught. Due to this geographical attribution the department is focusing on local issues, maintaining a strong relationship between the city of Debrecen and the broader region. The students are also mostly from the region, which is lacking of experts in the field of architecture, so our role is quite important. Due to the small size of our department teaching takes place in small groups, ateliers which facilitates the motivating relationship between students and tutors. The architectural programs are focusing on local and real problems which results several benefits.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><div class=\"eltdf-tab-container\" id=\"tab-more-information-486\">\n\t<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element\" >\n\t\t<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n\t\t\t<p>The students recognize much deeper their local region and its architectural issues. Local actors are involved during the whole process of architectural design, so the students meet several diverse points of view, so they should<br \/>\nwork with interdisciplinary approach. We believe that making dialogue towards the society is a very important role of contemporary architecture. For that reason we try to help the region to understand architectural problems. We organise quite often exhibitions, lectures, conferences and we are making research works and publications on present architectural discussions with the society. We are trying to work using interdisciplinary methods, involving experts from other disciplines. We think our department\u2019s task is the education of analitical architects and creating the will of the active communication between our profession and society. Our staff contains 12 full time members (1 professor, 5 associate professor, 3 senior lecturers, 1 assistant lecturers and 2 teachers) and invited teachers from diverse disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"eltdf-row-grid-section-wrapper\"  ><div
